A short hold on the phone is 10 minutes, if you are able get a human on the phone. However, the challenge is prior to the trip there is little service to their customer service. Once you get on the trip they are enjoyable and well organized. On weekends (when not guiding an Adventure), you’ll find me at the Mount Vernon Visitor Center assisting travelers with their “what can we do around here” inquiries. I have gone on several Road Scholar trips. Field trips should take place between 9 am and 3:30 pm weekdays and must be roundtrip. This not-for-profit organization celebrates over thirty.
